all the ants on the planet, taken together, have a bio-mass greater than that of all humans.
ants have been incredibly industrious for millions of years. Yet their productiveness nourishes plants, and soil.

human industry has been in full swing for little over a century, yet it has brought about a decline in almost every ecosystem on the planet.

nature doesn't have a design problem...
people do.

Biomass is plant matter such as trees, grasses, agricultural crops, and other material derived from living matter. These materials are renewable and sustainable, and can be used as a solid fuel or converted into liquid or gaseous fuels to supply the electricity, heating, transportation, and other energy markets.

in other words...they seem to be smarter and much less wasteful than we are.
